At Blizzcon Blizzard revealed the next World of Warcraft expansion called Shadowlands. We get as usual a new continent called the same as the expansion, level squish and a whole new alt experience. Lets take a look at the main features.
Features:
Shadowlands
The Shadowlands has 5 zone with 4 leveling zones. Like Warlords of Dreanor and before you get a specific order in witch zone you do. This is however only the first time because alts can level each zone in any order. More on that later. In the middle of the map is a big city that will take the role of the expansions capital like for example Boralus and Dalaran. And last is the Maw. This is a max level zone but not much is known about it because no one ever returned from it (I think we will otherwise it will be a short expansion).
Covenants
Covenants will be the big new feature of this expansion. Covenants are factions within the Shadowlands. Once you reach max level you can choose between the 4 of them. Each one features a famous fallen hero like for example Uther. This also links back to his updated tomb in BFA. Each of these covenants has its own sort of War Campaign and come with a mount and a transmog set.
Alts
Alts gonna be a lot more fun is Shadowlands. In the Shadowlands themself they can choose a covenant right at the start of the expansion. Also world quests will be unlocked at that same moment so that you can start with the endgame while you are leveling. Also level 1 to 10 will get a new starting experience and lets continue with that.
Leveling
Leveling will be revamped. All level 120 players will start the expansion as level 50 and can level up to level 60. Like i said before the first 10 levels get a new experience but level 10 to 50 will also change. Not only will leveling go faster you also can do any zone from Classic to BFA whenever you want. So if you are level 10 and want to do Dreanor go ahead and do Dreanor. Also Blizzard told us that every level will bring you some kind of reward but not more i told us about that.
Character Customization
When you create a new character or go to the barber you get a whole lot of new options. For example tattoo’s unboned Forsaken and Asian Humans. More info will come soon on this but it will be a big upgrade to the game.
Conclusion
The new continent looks nice but i am most exited about the leveling and customization changes. Please tell us what you like or don’t like bellow.
