If you kill the last boss of a heroic Raid in World of Warcraft you get the “Ahead of the Curve” achievement. This is a nice achievent because you can not get it after the next season starts. However, it is also killing the game for a lot of players….
The problem with Curve
The problem is simple, if you want curve you need curve. That sounds stupid right? But it is the reality ingame. If you want to join a Heroic group you have a chance that they ask you to have the curve achievement. The problem that follows is that people who have Curve join those “Curve Groups” and people who don’t have to join other groups. The thing is that there are people who don’t want to learn tactics and have no curve. Those people also get in the no curve groups. So some bosses are almost unable to kill without curved people.
Long story short, the game this way is not accessible for many players. This is not a Blizzard problem but one that the players created themselves. For this reason i think it is better if the achievement goes away so that all players at least have a chance to get the final raid boss.
