The Minecraft Caves-and Cliffs update is on its way. But unlike other updates this one will be released in two parts spread over the year.The first part will release soon and the second later this year.
Caves and Cliffs part I
The first part of the caves and cliffs update will release in the summer. The first part will bring us new blocks and mobs. These are some of the blocks and mobs that we will get.
- Copper ore/block
- Big Dripleaf
- Amethyst
- Deepslate
- Goats
- Axolotl
These are only some of the things that will be added
Caves and Cliffs part II
The second part of the Caves and Cliffs update will not feature much in the way of new blocks or mobs but will bring a new world generation. The new Minecraft worlds will feature more realistic mountains and larger caves. It will also bring cave biomes.
2 Part Update
It is due the Covid pandemic that the new world generation was not finished in time that Mojang decided to split the update in 2 parts. This way the players do get some new content in the summer but have to wait a little bit longer for the new world generation. But some things will be changed with the world generation in part I so that the new blocks will spawn in the world.
Also it is worth to mention the some textures of existing blocks will be changed as well. All the ores will get a new texture unique from each other. This is so that people who are colorblind can see the differences between the ores. Also deepslate versions of these ores will be added. And last but not least ores like iron and gold will now drop ore items instead of the whole block.
Time will tell how this approach will work out. But nonetheless i am looking forward for it.
