With the release of patch 8.2.5 we get to see the conclusion of the war campaign. We see 2 new Cinematics and finally getting some answers. Spoiler Alert
The Meeting
Saurfang asked Anduin to meet him. At the meeting Jaina and Baina are already waiting for Anduin to arrive. When Anduin arives he walks up a ruined tower where Saurfang is waiting for him. Anduin is disappointed to see the small army of Saurfang. Saurfang asked if Anduin has men to join on that Anduin responded that he hes enough for one final battle. After that Anduin asked Saurfang what kind of Warchief he will be. Saurfang is once again hunted by his past and says he has no honor and that the Horde is build upon something wrong started by Blackhand. Anduin responded that they are all haunted by the past and asked where they are fighting for. Then they walk outside and Anduin orders the men to pick up the camp. Saurfang asks Zekhan what their home is. Anduin asked Jaina the same Question and both respond Azeroth.
The Siege of Orgrimmar
Once again Alliance and Horde rebels march toward the gates of Orgrimmar. We saw this before in patch 5.2 the Siege of Orgrimmar. At the gate Saurfang says that he doesn’t want to fight his own people and then challenges Sylvanas to mak’gora. Mak’gora is a 1v1 dual. Then the gate opens and Sylvanas and a Forsaken walk toward Saurfang. She agreed after some hesitation why she should fight him. Then the forsaken gives Sylvanas 2 swords. Anduin gives Saurfang the blade Shalamayne.
Saurfang charges at Sylvanas who easily dodges him. Then Sylvanas cuts Saurfang until he falls to the ground. She said that he dies with the rebels hope. Then Saurfang stand up and says she can’t kill hope and charges again. This time he succeeds in cutting in sylvanas’ eye stating that the Horde is strong! as a respons to that Sylvanas says that the Horde is nothing. Then the Forsaken looked shocked. Sylvanas then says they are all nothing. Then Saurfang yells FOR AZEROTH and charges. Then Sylvanas uses an unknown spell that kills Saurfang instantly. Then she says makes some threats and disappears. Zekhan rushes toward Saurfangs body asking what they should do now. Thrall says they should bring him Home. Thrall, Zekhan and Anduin then pick up Saurfangs body and drag it into Orgrimmar. Sylvanas’ forces see that she betrayed them and stand aside.
End of the War Campaign
For the Alliance and those who sided with Saurfang you get to see Saurfangs funeral. But those who sided with Sylvanas get another quest to meet her in the Ghostlands. There she speaks with Nathanos and Nathanos say my love to Sylvanas stating that he has feelings for her. After Nathanos has left Sylvanas reveals here true plan to the player to let Nzoth kill everyone so that she can raise them as undead. And she also want Nzoth to serve death and then she walks away. This could mean a lot for the next expansion. Is Sylvanas really trying to enslave an Old God? And who is going to lead the Horde from now on?
