World of Warcraft Wrath of the Lich King Classic is a exact recreation of the WOTLK expansion. At least that was the idea but something changed that will people feel left out.
Three Phases of World of Warcraft
From my point of view the game has three phases:
Phase 1
World of Warcraft and TBC
Phase 2
Wrath, Cataclysm and Pandaria
Phase 3
WOD, Legion, BFA and Shadowlands
I made this three groups based on the phase of the game and the player base that likes it. Phase 1 is more slow passed classic RPG gameplay. Phase 2 is faster and looks better and is more friendly to not hardcore players. Phase three is the phase that the live game is in now. It features burrowed powers, Mission Tables, M+ and World Quests (With some exceptions ofc). All three phases have a player base that likes this phase the most. Phase 1 players can play Classic and TBC Classic and phase 3 players can play the live game. And phase 2 players where hyped that at last they would get a Classic version for themselves like the other phases, but that did not happen.
Changes
For WOTLK Classic Blizzard focused on the Classic (Phase 1) playerbase instead of the phase 2 players. They for example removed the dungeon finder so that the Classic community will still need to use the LFG chat. While Phase 1 players may like this they already got that in TBC classic. So at this moment i feel bad for the phase 2 players for they are left out. On the internet you always see the discussion what game is better, the live game or Classic. But the people in the middle is forgotten about.
So if i where Blizzard i would reverse this change and give the phase 2 players their own game. It would only be fair right?
