Microsoft announced that the super duper graphics pack has been canceled. This was a HD graphics pack for Minecraft that added waving leaves and plants, HD Textures and lighting effects that should have made the game looks better.
Super duper graphics pack
At E3 2017 Microsoft and Mojang announced the Super duper graphics pack for Minecraft. The pack adds a lot of graphical enchantments like lightning and hd textures. It was said to release in the same year but we didn’t see that pack release and we got no update one it. A while later we got a update that it was harder to make this pack then they had anticipated and delayed it. Now more then 2 years later we finally got an update only not the one that we wanted.
Why is it canceled?
Microsoft stated that it wasn’t possible to get this pack working properly on all devices. At the E3 2017 they also introduced crossplay between Xbox, PC, Android, IOS and later Switch. But as you might know the consoles and the PC’s are more powerful then phones. And it looks like because of that the pack has been canceled. Then again couldn’t they just release the pack on PC and Console and not on phone. But if they do that it will break the crossplay. The did say they will look for another way to enchant the graphics of Minecraft so all we can do is wait for that. But it remains sad that the Super duper graphics pack has been canceled.
