Is it a good thing we get a 2004 version of World of Warcraft? Is Classic World of Warcraft a waste or not? Should we enjoy the past or make the future better? These are the questions i have about Classic World of Warcraft.
What is Classic World of Warcraft?
Classic World of Warcraft is World of Warcraft without any expansions and has the gameplay like it was in 2006.
The graphics have been updated a little bit and it is optimized for modern computers.
The game will feel like it was in its early years before the cataclysm expansion removed most of the classic content.
Blizzard is started the testing of the Classic World of Warcraft and many people are hyped for it.
Why love a game from over a decade ago?
You may be asking yourself why people are so hyped for a game from 2004. Well it has several reasons. Nostalgia is one of them. People loved the game back then and it has changed much over time. The game was new back then and it is almost 15 years old now so people are sometimes getting bored but they remember they had more fun 13 years ago.
Another reason is the gameplay. The gameplay was harder back then and you had more choice choosing skills. Today you can choose 1 of 3 skills every 15 levels but in Classic you can choose between many skills each time you level up. The game was also slower back then. Also you had to be more social to get things done. For example you had no dungeon or raid finders so if you want to do a dungeon you need to ask people to join you.
Is Classic World of Warcraft a Waste?
Other believe that Classic is a waste of resources. The current expansion of World of Warcraft Battle for Azeroth isn’t that good and maybe this is because Blizzard has to invest in Classic and has lesser resources for Battle for Azeroth. Also people think that people live to much in the past that Classic was good for its time but not in 2019.
